ActivFeed

Where high volumes of data are required such as tick-capture engines, market screening, and portfolio valuations, ACTIV also delivers feeds in a highly compressed format through a service called ActivFeed. This consolidated feed is driven by a number of optional data streams which are created and multi-casted from the ACTIV datacenters around the world. The ACTIV data compression is highly effective and can reduce the required bandwidth by as much as 90%.

In addition to compressing the data, ActivFeed inserts additional reliability into the data stream including forward error correcting (FEC) code and packet-level arbitration which together ensure reliable wide area delivery. These streams are fed into ACTIV servers located in our client's datacenters for very efficient and reliable delivery to onsite applications.
