MPU Gen2 (FPGA)

The latest generation of the Market Data Processing Unit (MPU) flips the model by going from a box to a PCIe card that can run in a host PC.   This new card, designed by our FPGA engineering team, provides an excellent scaling model to address increased message volumes and low latency requirements.  Here are some highlights:

• Capacity of 5 to10 million msg/sec/board with capability for multi boards in one box
• Standard PCIe board with onboard quad NIC cards, 32GB high speed RAM and optimized caching
• Hardware calculation engine for last state and derived content
• Low latency with database tier in a few microseconds and very small tails (even under high burst modes)
• ACTIV management with firmware upgrades, monitoring & reference data
• Shipping in MPU 24 and 48 core deployment HP servers (where FPGA is matched with software cores for a limited to single box optimized solutions for large enterprise and low latency requirements).
